(no subject)

I'm off to Oregon tonight. Since Oregon is a backwards state with no internet and indoor plumbing spending time with the family and being on the internet is mutually exclusive, I will not be seen in the ranks of civilisation until Sunday.

Wait, since when was the internet my civilisation?

OH NOES, OUR SOULS ARE BEING SUCKED INTO COMPUTERS BY SOME UNKNOWN HIGHER TECHNOLOGY!

Why am I going to Oregon? To see trees for the Ralph Nader cause, of course. Oh, and my sister also happens to be skating in the National Championships. ESPN coverage of the short program on Thursday, and ABC coverage of the long program on Saturday night. I would say that I'd wave to everyone on the TV, but I usually get placed in the highest seat possible, so I'm too busy fiddling with my oxygen tank to wave. And I'm out of TV camera range.

Anyway, back to work. So they tell me yesterday that guess what? I have to write one more article! Before the end of today, since I'm leaving! And then guess what? They changed the topic again this morning, so I have to scrap everything I wrote yesterday!

In defiance, I shall now sleep at my desk. Good night!
