BIG discussion about LOTR in my cinema class today. Basically, oscars are political (like that's a surprise) and since LOTR is an ensemble cast, the studios, actors, etc., agree to not spotlight a single actor/actress w/ a single nom. Good news? Buzz is that ROTK will win best pic and best director :-D
