I know, I know, third update of the day, I promise I'll stop after this, unless I have something else excruciatingly interesting to say.

Well, the results came in the mail today. Three out of four students failed. Isn't that something grand for my reputation?

I have a 75% failure rate.

I'm pissed because the three that failed just made too damn many dumb, idiotic, careless, stupid mistakes. I can't emphasize how careless they were, and how frustrated this makes me. If they had just paid the teeniest bit attention to the test they were taking, they could've easily all passed. They can't pay attention, and now it reflects on me too. Plus I feel responsible for them.

But how do you get 10 year olds to pay attention? I bribed them with cheetos, I played musical jeopardy with them, and I spent long (free) hours just doing drills. How do you prevent the careless mistakes (short of standing over them while they take the exam and shouting)? It feels so out of my hands.

I need to find myself a real job. Somewhere far far away from hordes of little children. I love them and all, but...
