Today during break, I was trolling the IMDb boards on the Chronicles of Narnia page, because I'm just that excited about the movie. Of course, the age-old religious flame war popped up (U CAN'T WATCH THE MOVEE BECUZ ITS EVIL PROPAGANDA OMG), and as is always the case in this type of wars, someone posted: "All thinking men are atheists." - Ernest Hemingway
To which someone responded: "Ernest Hemingway is dead." -God
...
Well, I LOL'ed.
Anyway, WTF is everyone's problem? We can churn out movies like Alexander and History of Violence for people to watch (that alone should be a crime worthy of death, by the way), but we're not allowed to have movies that might possibly have underlying Christian themes?
OH NOES, TEH HUMANITY!
I mean, come on. I don't go around and complain about movies with Muslim or Mormon themes, do I? No, because it's not my concern (although it is my concern when Mormons start regularly pounding on my dorm room. They're so persistant! O_O But that's another story altogether). As for the people complaining they were caught unawares, well, damn, it's not like C.S. Lewis was born yesterday. It'd be like someone walking out of Passion of the Christ complaining, "I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS A RELIGIOUS MOVIE!"
...And if that really happened, I'd laugh and then shoot them.
People like that make Dr. Cox angry.
Veering onto a completely different movie, I want to see Perhaps Love. To be frank, I'm surprised they haven't made a Chinese musical sooner, considering the country's affinity for operas and the fact that every single actor in Asian cinema also sings.
And it can't possibly be bad with Takeshi Kaneshiro. *fangirls*

Oh and I own the 7 books of Narnia. They kick ass. So much for openmindedness and tolerance of religions. It's just a movie, for goodness' sake!
